Back River Youth Sports Association

Welcome to the Back River "Panthers" Youth Football and Cheerleading website!
Established in 1994, BRYSA is a youth football and cheerleading Association (ages 6 to 14) located in the Virginia Peninsula area. Our football teams compete in the PYFA (Peninsula Youth Football Association) and our competition cheerleading teams compete in the TCA (Tidewater Cheerleading Association) and PCA(Peninsula Cheerleading Association)sponsored competitions.

2005 season off to a great start!!!!!!!!
2005 Practice finally got started on 8/1, and a thanks goes out to so many who made the start (equipment hand out, field prep, and registration) go so smooooooooooooooth.

Passing of a Legend
The entire Back River Organization is saddened by the passing of Keith Goodson on 11/28/04. Words will never describe how much we all will miss him.
On 11/20/04, during the Superbowl, the PYFA recognized Mr. Keith for his dedicated long service.

Congratulations to all of the Back River "2004" Academic award winners!!!!!

The 2004 Backriver Competition Cheerleading Team

They placed 2nd in the 2004 Regional America's Best Cheerleading and Dance Championships, held Sat, Dec 4th at the Richmond Coliseum. (Junior Intermediate Division)
Great job team, and coaches Laurie. and Ashley!!!!!!!!!!!!!
